Sinner's Gin - Rhys Ford A good read with an enjoyable plot and two good MC's. Miki, the emotionally and physically damaged rock star, with a past that is coming back to haunt him, and Kane the sweet Irish cop have a lot of chemistry and kept me reading. The book is told from alternating points of view and has a nice build to the relationship, while not sacrificing the plot of the mystery.

After meeting by chance when Miki's dog starts pilfering items from Kane's workshop, the two are then pushed closer when Kane finds the mutilated body of a man from Miki's childhood in Miki's garage. As Kane and his partner investigate the case, bodies keep showing up and threats are made towards Miki. Throughout all of this Miki and Kane form a bond that Kane is not sure will survive because of Miki's lifetime of trauma.

Other than a few minor points with wrapping up the murder plot, and some of the descriptive words during the sex scenes (that were just my personal dislikes) I really enjoyed the story. The end is not a cliff hanger by any means, but has a great plot twist that sets up the next book, which I am looking forward to reading.
