I've been waiting for Romy's story having seen bits of it in three books now. Romy has been through hell and here he finds comfort in Donner's best friend Brendan. This one was different, with a slow build as Romy and Brendan are friends first and Romy has a lot of issues to deal with. Brendan is one of the few people that Romy feels comfortable with, and Romy believes he is straight. It did seem at first that Romy's part of the relationship was based on a bit of hero worship, but A.M. Arthur took the time for the two men to really form a bond as Romy worked through his issues and Brendan came to terms with his feelings.
