How to Walk Like a Man (Howl at the Moon Book 2)

How to Walk Like a Man - Eli Easton Another sweet, quirky story. I really enjoyed being in Roman's head as he tries to understand all the new human emotions and feelings. Even better was Lance's absolute inability to deal with Roman's very direct questions about them. Roman's backstory was heartbreaking as we get to see just how he bonded with then lost his K-9 handler James.

Matt, the DEA agent Roman saved in the first book, crushing on Roman while trying to figure out just why the town seems "off" was endearing. He is closeted and putting on quite the act for his controlling, military father. Not my favorite plot point, but Luci, who Matt is passing off as his girlfriend, was a wonderful character.

I liked the slow build. Roman and Matt spend the majority of the book together as friends with Roman in both his human and dog forms. The real charm in this story is Roman's almost childlike excitement at everything he discovers. Here's hoping there's some more to come from Mad Creek.
