Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) - Jeaniene Frost Missing some of the intensity of book one, but satisfying nonetheless.

A lot happens in this one, which picks up very shortly after Once Burned. Without going into the plot specifics, Leila is in danger, and the most likely suspect is someone within Vlad's inner circle.

I was a bit disappointed in the seemingly tamer version of Vlad than the one I have known and loved starting with the Night Huntress books. I hope with the way things leave off in this installment, that we will get the more ruthless Vlad back in the next one. He just seemed a bit out of character for the last half of the book.

As always, there is a lot of action in this book and some brief cameo appearances from a few of the Night Huntress crowd. The ending sets the scene for Book 3, and hopefully a return to the essence of Vlad's character.
