4.5 Stars. If not for the rushed ending this would have been a 5 star book for me. After Ben is a beautifully touching story about Theo, who is struggling one year after the sudden death of his longtime partner Ben. Through flashbacks we learn about their life together while Theo begins to get back to living a life outside of the shell he has created for himself.
There are two men who begin to draw Theo back out into a social life, Peter, who he meets at the gym, and Morgan, his online friend. I was glad going into the book that I did not know where the story was going with Theo and these two. There are other wonderful secondary characters including Theo's parents, his assistant Maggie and his two new interns, Evan and Joel. All play important roles in Theo's recovery.
Highly recommended. I look forward to more from this series.
