Fall Apart

Fall Apart - S.E. Culpepper 3.5 stars

Although not my favorite of the series I did enjoy Damon and Alarik's story (although I kept thinking of Vampire Diaries, but then remembering Alarik is described as looking like Josh Holloway in Lost - but that's all good). A lot of good reviews already give a run down of the story. To me this one had a different feel than the prior books, but I'm not sure why.

First off, I was very happy to have Mark and Zane from [b:Question Mark|13418642|Question Mark (Liaisons #2)|S.E. It is nice to catch up with them and their families as they have been married for one year and provide a tie in for Alarik and Damon. Their particular story line also looks like it will be a good part of the next book as well and it seems, or at least I am hoping it will be the story of Max, the director of Zane's latest movie and Brad, the homophobe actor trying to ruin Zane's career.

I enjoyed Alarik and Damon together. Their courtship in the first half of half of the book was fun. The second half of the book however, turned a complete 180 and became more serious. While I didn't mind that I didn't like that it resulted in the two men being split up for a long time.

If you are a fan of the series I would absolutely recommend this book. While this book can stand alone if you haven't read the stories before, I would recommend reading [b:Private Eye|12036861|Private Eye (Liaisons #1)|S.E.
